ISIS® Xpress v4 SDK for Document Scanning Released by Accusoft Pegasus

.NET and ActiveX version upgrade supports new high-speed scanner drivers and more

TAMPA, Fla. - January 12, 2010 – Accusoft Pegasus, the leading provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs), today announces the release of its ISIS Xpress v4 SDK, providing support for the latest ISIS scanner drivers and new usability features. It is available as a .NET or an ActiveX toolkit and is delivered with the ImagXpress v10 SDK supporting advanced imaging functions.

Leveraging the EMC® Captiva® ISIS technology, ISIS Xpress gives software developers access to high-performance ISIS scanner features and provides the ability to build custom scanner interfaces within applications. They can also take advantage of scanners supporting multi-stream technology. ISIS delivers the functionality end-users require in a way that is easy to integrate, use and enhance. ISIS reduces the costs and complexities related to application development needed to support any scanner usability features. With ISIS compatibility, peripherals just simply work, set-up problems are greatly reduced and support calls are minimized.

The new version offers support for the latest scanner drivers, and is now certified for use with Windows 7. Additional features offer the ability to selectively display only currently-connected scanners, access a new modal dialog option for scanner selection, and specify the location of ISIS driver files.

Barry Ruditsky, Vice President of OEM Sales, Content Management and Archiving Division at EMC, reported, "The EMC Captiva ISIS driver is the industry standard enterprise-level interface that works with most scanners to communicate seamlessly with applications. We have long enjoyed our partnership with Accusoft Pegasus. This newest offering from Accusoft Pegasus is designed to reduce development time with scanner drivers to the document imaging developer community."
