NEWS RELEASE
.NET Imaging Components Delivered by Pegasus Imaging Corporation
TAMPA, September 16, 2002 - Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in digital imaging technology, today released .NET versions of ImagXpress™ Professional and ImagXpress™ Standard, the comprehensive imaging toolkits.
Both ImagXpress editions are now available as .NET managed controls. Pegasus Imaging has implemented these toolkits to run under .NET without compromising image processing speed, features, or quality. Developers may write a complete document or color imaging application using up to 1,000 properties and methods in .NET.
"This release of ImagXpress puts us 18 months ahead of our competitors who say they have .NET versions of their products," says Jack Berlin, President of Pegasus Imaging Corporation. "We've compromised none of the pre-existing features of our imaging toolkit, an achievement no one else has accomplished."
The TwainPRO™, PrintPRO™, and CapturePRO™ controls contained in ImagXpress Professional, and also sold as standalone products, now run as managed controls within a .NET environment as well. The Smartscan Xpress™ family of products that include barcode, ICR, OCR, OMR, and MICR technology, will be released as .NET managed controls during the next few days, and ScanXpress™ ISIS® will soon follow.
